Catering by Seasons had a fabulous time celebrating Allison’s Broadway Bat Mitzvah at the Julia Bindeman Suburban Center in Potomac.
Allison, a veteran of many local musical theatre productions was right at home amongst the bright lights and red carpets that greeted guests.
From the Escort Cards to the Centerpieces, Allison’s passion was infused into every detail!
Adult Hors D’oeuvres included petite “flowers” of beet cured salmon and horseradish dill sauce in beautiful pastry cups, cranberry butternut squash bruschetta with stilton, golden gazpacho with fresh yellow tomatoes right from our gardens and short rib tacos topped with a mango slaw.
Allison and her friends enjoyed appetizers of franks-in-a-blanket, mini pretzel bites stuffed with cheddar cheese and our award winning avocado corn salsa!
Grown-ups got to sample selections from our diverse and fun dinner stations, including: a live pasta bar presided over by our own Chef Kyle Vermeulen, an Asian Station with seared tuna and lo mein and Chinese vegetables served in take-out containers, and a Mediterranean station with kabobs, dolmades and more!
After dinner, Allison surprised all of her guests by taking the mic and singing a song from one of her favorite shows, Wicked. It was an amazing moment that even stopped our servers in their tracks!
Desserts included a delicious display from our creative Pastry Chef, Serge Neimen. He did a fantastic job with a variety of different chocolate-dipped cake bites, miniature cupcakes, and sandwich cookies including our new salted caramel flavor – yum!
