Our team at Catering by Seasons had a blast at this weekend’s bat mitzvah. Nestled in the woods of Potomac, MD, Rockwood Manor served as the perfect venue – combining old-world charm with fun and glamorous decor.
The punk-rock theme of this event couldn’t be topped, with bright neon pinks, greens and teals featured in the linen, uplighting, kids’ furniture and all the little details.
Downstairs, the young adults enjoyed music, dancing and their own appetizers, while the parents relaxed upstairs with an array of garden-themed hors d’oevure.
Small bites including smoked salmon in petite vegetable cups, strawberry balsamic crostini and grilled vegetables were displayed among garden-fresh decor and spring linens.
A fantastic variety of sushi and maki rolls were displayed for the kids’ buffet, with fun favorites such as California rolls and spicy tuna, plus special new creations including rolls topped with mango, sliced bananas and strawberries.
After introductions and dancing downstairs, the adults went back upstairs for their first course – a plated citrus spinach salad.
The main course, featuring a honey-glazed salmon filet atop grilled vegetables and a wild rice blend, was the hit of the party!
The kids enjoyed gourmet pizzas, prepared onsite and served hot and fresh from our very own Chef Kyle Vermeulen.
The rest of the evening featured a make-your-own-s’mores station and colorful French macaroons from Serge Niamien – our very talented pastry chef.
A special thanks to all of our fantastic vendors:
